Covid-19 Qld: Annastacia Palaszczuk’s refined swipe at virus-riddled states

Annastacia Palaszczuk has poured gasoline on the border struggle, again defending her position to keep Queensland’s borders shut to Covid-riddled states until finally it is “safe to do so”.

Addressing the media on Friday, the Queensland Leading would not name a day for reopening but indicated it would very likely be soon after the up coming assembly of national cupboard in November.

“We will open when it is safe to do so,” she declared.

“What we’re seeking at now – we’re seeking really carefully at what is happening in NSW and Victoria and I note there was an easing of restrictions in NSW. Their vaccination premiums are heading up rather steadily, which is wonderful.

“They’ve experienced a major outbreak, so persons have long gone out and bought vaccinated.

“But really regarding, 1800 cases, I consider from memory, in Victoria today. If you assume about that, we have experienced just around 2000 cases throughout the whole pandemic, so we actually want to see the vaccination costs (boost) ideal across the place.”
