Brighton Leading League player arrested

A Brighton & Hove Albion participant has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following a lady was allegedly attacked in the Sussex city.

Sussex Law enforcement explained a gentleman in his 40s and a male in his 20s had been arrested soon after the alleged incident at a Brighton venue in the early hrs of Wednesday morning.

The Premier League club later on confirmed a player was associated in the investigation.

A Sussex Police spokesperson stated: “Two men have been arrested soon after a female claimed currently being sexually assaulted at a location in Brighton, in the early hrs of Wednesday.

“A male in his 40s and a man in his 20s, each from Brighton, ended up arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and continue to be in police custody at this time.”

A Brighton spokesperson reported: “Brighton and Hove Albion are aware that one of its players is assisting police with the investigation of an alleged offence.

“The issue is subject matter to a legal method and the club is as a result not able to make additional comment at this time.”

Brighton are in sixth place in the Leading League.
